I recently earned "Best Original Score" at the summer Cleveland 48 Hour Film Project for the short that the Brutal Flowers Productions team put together. It's definitely a novel experience composing a score with such a tight turnaround, but I was so happy to participate and so honored to have earned best score.
I also composed the final song at the end of this film from the Summer 2024 48 Hour Film Project, and performed and mixed it for the finished short. Couldn't be prouder to have worked on this film!
I had the privilege of writing and producing new music with some of the members of the legendary group '24-Carat Black,' the subject of a podcast miniseries I produced.
I highly recommend listening to the podcast to get the whole story, but to be brief, 24-Carat Black was a hyper-talented funk/R&B group from the early 70s that disbanded when Stax Records went bankrupt. Since then, the group's music has had a second life from rap sampling by the likes Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, and many more.
Excerpt from my score for "The Wish", a short film directed by Nick Stafford and Gabby Zanin.

This was an Animation Capstone project by Hannah Obremski, featuring a Sesame-Street style TV studio ensemble.
As a fun proof of concept, I made my own original arrangement for the final scene of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This time, with decidedly 80s vibe!
